Annual inspections require thorough inspections of the brakes. This often requires removal of the wheels to allow access to the brake components. The regulations allow “limited” inspections of the brakes when a properly completed record of brake inspection is available. This form guides the technician in recording all of the required information and then allows the vehicle owner to conduct a "limited" brake inspection for up to 7 or 19 months.
